JISC Collections: News Film Online (NFO) Project with Hull University

i-education were engaged, together with Hull University to develop an environment similar to YouTube, to enabling the transmission of good practice using the NFO video clips supplied by the JISC Collections Project. The video clips are digitalized versions of ITN and Reuters news footage, together with pedagogical exemplars, technical tutorials, case studies and community uploaded videos. To develop communities of practice, social networking tools were combined with the video clips to enable users to share experiences, capturing the essence of today's upload culture and harnessing for the great learning benefits.
