Barnsley Holgate City Learning Centre: Mobile Learning Consultancy
i-education were employed to help support and setup the Barnsley Holgate CLC mobile learning project.
The CLC wanted to explore the use of mobile technologies to support teaching and learning at KS4 Science (Penistone School) and Physical Education (Holgate School). i-education specialise in implementing mobile learning projects, embedding the associated pedagogies and supporting the associated change management an thus partnered with the CLC to engage the teacher and learners in the respective schools. Furthermore, i-education helped choose appropriate hardware, software and strategies based upon the desired outcome of the project and to enable new ways of working congruent with constructivism and social constructivism. In order to share best practice, i-education were engaged throughout the duration of the project to ensure the objectives were being met and appropriate evaluation being made.

I am learning @ Holgate School
I am learning was implemented in Holgate Secondary School through the CLC. The primary purpose was to support KS3 Science but the content across all subjects at KS3 and KS4 supported the raising of attainment across the curriculum. i-education further sponsored the implementation by offering an iPod prize to the most improved learner.
